Al-Fikr is a home education support center where we strive to help homeschoolers through their homeschooling journey from the initial registration process, to programming, to providing weekly classes to create a social support network for your children, to fun and educational excursions and incursions, and other fun programs that help your children excel academically, socially and spiritually through their homeschooling journey.

Our Vision

At the end of very year, we reflect on our achievements and shortcomings based on the feedback we receive, and aim to strengthen our vision by implementing new policies and practices that allow us to achieve that vision. Our vision is based on our slogan ‘making learning rewardable’, it is to create a community of children who are competent in learning,worshipping and caring. Based on our prophetic tradition who has summed our Islam to our contribution of mind, body and soul, likewise a competent mind is able to learn and understand, a competent body is able to worship and be active, a competent soul is able to care and consider. Thus making everything they do rewardable.

Ms Fitri Schellen is the founder and prinical at Al Fikr Tuition.. She has over 15 years experience in homeschooling and education and is dedicated with intention for the sake of Allah to support children in their homeschooling journey.

Curriculum

Kindy-6

We offer group home schooling tuition for years K-11, based on NSW Curriculum available up to 1-2 days a week. Our curriculum includes core academic subjects such as English and Math, Science complemented by hands-on lessons, excursions, and events to support your home school.

Year 7-11

We offer group home schooling tuition for years 7-11, based on NSW Curriculum available up to 2 days a week. Our curriculum includes core academic subjects and three high school electives complemented by hands-on lessons, excursions, and events to support your home school.

Arabic Language

7-11 years offered as one of the high school elective subjects.

PDPHE TAS/Food Technology

Group tuition classes based on NSW curriculum, complemented by hands-on lessons, workshops, excursions to support life skills.

Primary Group Tuition k-6

Small face to face classes based on curriculum subjects offered 1 day during the weekday or Saturday.

High School Group Tuition 7-11

Small face to face classes based on curriculum subjects offered 1-2 days during the weekday or Saturday.

Private Tuition Primary and Highschool

Flexible private lessons offered by qualified teachers/tutors for K-11years.

Quran classes

Small face to face Quran classes offered 2 days a week after school hours.
